The steps to simple self- interior design! ARTICLE NUMBER: 4

 Welcome to my wonderful blog! It's been a while since I've written here but anyway, her I am!

 Today we are going to go through simple stepd in designing your own bedroom following the steps below!

1) Pick a theme. When designing a room, the firts step you must over take is the theme of your future design. Ask yourself these questions:

=> For who is the room going to be? What is hers or his character like?

=> How does the room have to be designed? In other words, what colours does the owner prefer or any specific themes? Like for example, a person who wants a pirate themed bedroom can have dark blue and brown walls, a blue ceiling with glow-in-the-dark stars, ropes hanging,  hammock or a ship-like bed. 

=> For what items shall I look and where? Is there specific furniture or coloured items I need to buy to be able to complete the design? e.g. For the pirate bedroom, it would be nice to look for a ship-like bed but where can I find it and how much will it cost for me?

=> Will I need help in completing the design? Eventhough you are working on your own and the point of this article is to gain data on it without a hired designer but just have I think: can I get some friendly help from someone I know? Like let's say my friend who has a stylish point of view? Or shall I pop into a bookshop and buy a few home& deco magazines to support my present ideas?

=> Will my final interior designs be comfortable and easy to use in everyday life? In other words, is the bed comfortable to sleep in or do the dark colours look unpleasant or stylish? Just think over situations you may face when the room will be ready. 

=> Just sit down and have a deep think about everything you'll need for this mission. 

2) Create a rough sketch of your ideas! Imagine how your future project will look like once it's done. Record it on paper as quickly as possible! It doesn't have to be the most accurate it can be, just make sure you understand it and can be able to follow it in the future. 

3) Make a list of things you'll need to buy. Sit back down and list all the things you need to buy, including the shops. As you buy each item, cross it off the list to make sure that you have everything needed for your project. 

I.E. CREATE A MOOD BOARD by collecting items in that specific style, design or colour and forage the shops for similar ones. 

4) Apply the knowledge. Once you have gathered absolutely every single piece of item you need, start applying them! In other words, if you want a lilac wall, make sure you have the paint and just paint it! Remove everything from the previous design to leave the room empty and just simply fill it with your ideas! Mix! Match! Enjoy! 'Coz at the end of the day, you have a new room, lad!
